How to Install Visual Studio 2010 on Windows XP Home Edition

Visual Studio is a great application, it gives you a free set of tools for putting your ideas into action. It will help you create great applications for phone, cloud, mobile, desktop, and web. But installing this application on Windows XP Service Pack 2 and XP Home Edition will require some efforts.

You might receive an error like this..
BUT, worry no more. The following steps will solve this problem. This is the easiest way of installing Visual Studio 2010 on Windows XP Home Edition:
  1. Type "%temp%" on run command and clean up all the items on this folder.
  2. Install Windows Service Pack 3 on your machine, you can download it here.
  3. After installing the service pack 3 and completing the Windows update, download the ISO installer of Visual Studio 2010 on this link.
  4. After the download, convert the ISO file into EXE, please refer to this link, How to convert ISO into EXE file.
  5. Install the application.
