How to Find the Last Installation Date of your Windows

It really doesn't matter that we need to check the last installation date of our system but there might be a situation that you need to check its exact date. Besides, it will be nice if we can check the history information of our system in order for us to do the necessary things in order to improve its performance.

The following are the different ways on how to know the last installation date of our Windows system unit.
  1. If you using Windows Vista or another higher version of Windows, you can just simply Type cmd in Windows search and press enter to bring up Command Prompt, type systeminfo and press enter in order to know the last installation date. This method does not work in windows XP Home Edition.
  2. Another way of checking the last installation date is to check any folder in the system drive like "windows" and "program files". Right click the folder, click on the properties and check under the general tab the exact date when the folder was created. This date refers also to the last installation date of your operating system.
  3. The last method which is the best and the most accurate way to know the last installation date of your OS is to check the system history information of your computer. The system history begins right after the last installation of the operating system. You can do this by following this path... Start>All programs>accessories>system tools>System information>view tab>system history. Note that this method might needs more time in order to load the whole history of the system but you can be sure that this is accurate because all of this information begins after the last installation of the OS.
I hope that it helps. Please leave a comment if this methods do not work and if there are better ways to know the last installation date of your Windows.
