How to Install MS Office 2010 in XP Home Edition

Problem: Sometimes when installing Office 2010 in XP Home Edition desktop the following error will occur.

Reason:  MS Office 2010 does not support Windows XP Home Edition.
Solutions:  Here is how to install MS Office 2010 in XP Home Edition.
1. Install Microsoft Core XML Services (MSXML) 6.0. You can download it here.
2. Turn on and use Automatic Updates. Install the updates to make the windows into Windows XP Service Pack 3 .

3. After installing all the updates, restart the system.
4. Run the set-up for the MS Office 2010 and everything will be OK.

  3. can i also do the solution above? if doing so will upgrade my xp home to xp sp3, will this not affect other applications previously installed on my laptop? thanks. - franky
